Okay, a new poll will be up later today. Not much to report other than we're working to update the last few sections that aren't up yet. We're looking for submissions for the Harry Potter and Star Wars sections, especially in terms of news and gossip. If anyone's interested in being a source for either of these, please e-mail us! Also, as noted in the News section, the new Harry Potter trailer is attached to Corpse Bride. As I'm boycotting it due to the Dianetics advertising, I haven't seen it yet, but I hear it's pretty sweet. Also, creepy picture of Elijah.

A few little updates over the past few days: the Legolas section had some CSS bugs worked out, as well, Maternal Guidance and A Day in the Life of Legolas are up and readable, the Song Parody link has been fixed, there are a few new Nancing icons, some new LOTR fandom news (someone find us SW and HP news!) and SB made a lovely SW manip that can be seen here, because the manip section isn't up yet.

The new layout is complete! For some reason "www.nancingpony.com" doesn't completely load the .css in Safari, "nancingpony.com" does. Any theories? There are a bunch of updates; we have our first Star Wars Photo Comic, we have tons of audio and video up, and some other cool stuff. New poll! Check it out!

Okay, the reason we've been idle: we're completely redoing the site, and adding at least Harry Potter and Star Wars sections. We're also re-doing how things are submitted, so if you want to work on either MSTing, submitting interviews/video/photos in any of the three categories, or have a great idea for another category, please e-mail us in the next month, because we'd love to have new and dedicated fans and parodiers!

YMG has just gotten her internet at ... college. (Like, OMG.) A few of the other NP staffers are also getting ready to go back to school as well, so things are a bit hectic. Not many major updates, but a lot to look out for. YMG had to wipe her computer - no information was lost, but some things need reinstalling before the major updates can be formatted. Three new(ish) news items. Some new t-shirt designs. They're really sexy! (Please help support the site!)
The big news is that one of our dear readers has procured for us an OB signature.
FFic of the month, as well as the dedication are up, and JLP wrote a letter to OB on the Legolas page. Also, more hatemail coming soon!

Gollum Gone Wild!
SB picked out a very skeevy story to MST yesterday ... if you don't mind teh icky slash, read Precious. If you're scarred, it's all her fault. Some very nice girls got Orlando to sign a dodgy autograph for us. Pictures as soon as she has them up. (Also dedications, Ffic.) Chapter Five of the Mary Sue Epic will be updated sometime this week -- it's a long, stupid one. (Aren't they all?) Stay tuned!

We're now on the fourth guestbook ... that means we've had 150+ comments. (W00t.) Chapers Three and Four of Mary Sue Epic have been posted. 5 is on the way, and I think will be the last chapter of this story, seeing as once OB and MS get together, no one cares anymore ...

Actually, nothing's wrong, we've just been listening to a lot of ABBA recently. Great stuff, ABBA. As far as the site goes, anyway, Chaper Two of Of Love and Lust: Let the Games Begin (Book 1) (AKA Mary Sue Epic) has been updated. Somehow it's longer than the first chapter ... I haven't even begun to look at chapter three yet, but will do soon.
The NP was introduced to Flash yesterday. This only took 1/2 an hour, and looks like crap, but the potential is still there. (This file is listed as a "New Orlando Interview!" on the IMDB Boards ...)

We've got two chapters of a new, hysterical MST called "Of Love and Lust: Book 1." HOWEVER - JLP has that one kidnapped, and for some reason will not forward it. As soon as we are in touch with her and BTBS, we'll have some nice new stuff. There're also two new RPB caps.

Lyke, OMFG! Another new MST! This one comes from the IMDB boards. It's about Orlando going to college. Uh huh. Brooke. More chapters of that soon. Everyone should e-mail BTBS and harrass her to send me the ninth chapter of The Summer Job, which she's had on her laptop since about April 23rd.

We've done an "Emergency" MST as a response to an e-mail. It's called A Chance Encounter, and I hope you all like it. As soon as certain members of the staff get their acts together, we should have two more MSTs up.
We're also very happy that most people like the new layout, so we'll be converting the whole site during the next few weeks.

So now you're back
A good part of the NP staff graduated high school on Friday, and went to the prom on Monday. (And Harry Potter on Sunday, la la la ...) The other half has finals next week. We're very sorry that this month hasn't had, well, any updates, but as soon as June rolls around, we should be back on schedule. (So, so much work!)
We're trying to decide whether or not to section the site into different themes, for instance, adding a POTC section, or a SW section, but we're really not sure yet. Hopefully the Hobbit will be made, and we can continue with LOTR, but if we're facing a lack of material, we may add new sections. Thank you ALL for your loving support! We can't believe how many nancers we've met in real life, and it makes us proud to have created something that people actually like.
So for all our readers who are finishing up with the school year: hang in there! We'll be back in a week or two!

Retreat!
BTBS, MMLS, and YMG are graduating soon, and teachers are being slave drivers. But we're still updating! A nice person sent us a new MST,Sunrise Elf. And another group of nice people sent us a Legolas story entitled Die Legolas Die!

Ach! So few updates during the break. Doesn't mean we haven't been nancing, but it seems that way, doesn't it? Speaking of seeming, the guestbook seemed to be dead, but was actually full. Huzzah. I archived the htmls, but I don't know where to put them. Updates on Mary Sue Battle, The Summer Job (26 pages now, and we're only a thirdish done), and the Caption Contest(New pic is there, thumbnail is dead right now.)
The reason we haven't been updating is because a few staff members have been waiting for the dreaded college acceptance/denial letters. We're happy to announce that MMLS got into her #1 school, and I (YMG) *sort of* did (I applied to a program within a school, and I got into the school, now I have to hear about the program.) And I know that no one cares except for us, but that's why.

Yeah, yeah, LotR won 11 awards. Same as Titanic. (Doomed to suffer the same fate.) Didn't deserve more than 6 of them. Anyhow, we've updated 22 RPB comics. That took a while. Also updated the ninth step of 12 Steps to get over Orlando Bloom.

Less than a Week
I did update the Hate Mail. I also updated the "About Us" page with three new pictures, although only two profiles are up again. The fifth and sixth steps of 12 Steps to get over Orlando Bloom are finished.
For the first time in about six months, I fixed the Legolas page. You can all go and see my new idea now.

Oh, boy! We're a real site!
This bizarre update refers to the fact that there will now be a Nancing Calendar of update deadlines. (If the deadlines can be met is another story, however.) Hate Mail has been updated. Check out the letters from people claiming to be Orlando's sister.
Also, a nice person sent in a new song parody. Finally, we started updating the "Quickie Fanfictions" on the stories page.

New FF of the month is called "Until the Moon Awakens," and the MST will be uploaded later today. There are a few new manippy things as well, but since SB is in Quˇbec until tomorrow, there won't be any picture uploads. (Grr, I know!) Except for a new Sketched Comic. (Few more of those coming soon as well.) It turns out that one of the Elijah fics we're MSTing turned into an OB fic. Blech. (But it's funny anyhow.)

I've decided to change the format of the first page, so that visitors can
see that we actually do update on a fairly regular basis. New today are *more*
photo comics, a few RPB
comics, and some manips.
For a New Year
Don't worry -- we haven't fallen off the earth. We're working very hard on a few new MSTs (the beast, The Summer Job, started at 26 pages!), especially a request for a bad Elijah fic. We finally found three that we're working on.
Most all of the graphics have now been moved into the ".com" folder, so there shouldn't be many broken pictures, except in the "photo" section. That should be resolved soon.

The Beginning of the End
Monday December 1st. The World Premi?re of The Return of the King. Pictures are already pouring in, and, as expected, the cast looks "like a pack of bleedin' woofters." We are amused.
However, it is also Monday December 1st, World AIDs Day. HIV/AIDs is a worldwide epidemic threatening not only the 42 MILLION people infected, but the rest of the world's population as well. Even on their special day, the cast members of The Lord of the Rings trilogy are observing this day. And you should too.~YMG
Minor Updates
Today the staff of the Nancing Pony is observing the 12th Anniversary of the death of Freddie Mercury. Thus we don't have too much to report, but we are working hard.
We've updated about 30ish Photo Comics and RPB Comics, making an 11th Photo Comic page, and a 12th RPB Comic page. There is a new caption contest, which is quite amusing. The staff is working on a new LONG MST (two now), and a new section called "The Nancing Files" -- which will be a list of quick links to our current big projects.
And in other news, we've passed the 5,000 hits mark this morning. THANKS!~YMG
We're on TV!
To clarify this morning's news so that it actually makes sense:
The Nancing Pony (MMLS, YMG, SB) went ON TRL yesterday. Meaning, we SAW Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, and Elijah Wood. (And Elijah's infamous jacket and shoes!) We all shook hands with Dom -- Elijah and especially Billy were not exactly sociable, and kept fleeing to the dressing rooms. Elijah and Dom were grinding during one of the breaks, spurring that "we love to dance" comment. We had mucho amounts of fun (although we didn't use our signs!) and still can't get our wristbands off.
Also, we did upload the old caption contest.

Tauros in the Atmosphere!
It's finally getting cold out. That means lots of time indoors, and, subsequently, lots of spare time. This week: Not one, not two, but THREE MSTs updated, and one song parody. (You'll crack up, I swear. We made dance moves to it!) There are a few captions to be put up someday or another. We're holding the caption contest until we get a few more replies.
Finally, we're thinking of holding a contest, if there is enough interest.Anyone want to participate?

Sorry for the late update, but we've lots of good excuses listed on the nancing livejournal community. Most new news will be listed there from now on, with one large update in this spot every week or so.
Continuing on: 22 new RPB comics, 5 new photo comics, 2 ye-olde song parodies, and the manip that started the flame war on livejournal. The Oct. MST is almost finished, and we've found a new one for November. If anyone has any new Troy pictures, send them along!

Huzzah!!!
Okay, first thing to notice: we're over 2500, and thusly have a new banner. (Yay!) Secondly, there's going to be some sort of status bar for our various projects, because there needs to be. Thirdly, we have a nancing livejournal community. Small updates will be listed there. We're also updating the "about" page to include the other staff members, so keep a watch out.
This week we've posted 2 new pages of RPB comics (20 pics), 10 new photo comics, 3 song parodies, and one manip. More captions coming in as ROTK pics come up. MST for fic of October coming soon.

WOW!!!
Has Elijah Wood entered the building? Because this site has been pinging in hits like never before -- over 100 in less than 24 hours so far. It's amazing. It's remarkable. We love you! In under a month we've had more than 500 hits.
In other news, my (YMG) internet is not working at home, so updates will have to be a bit sporadic until it gets fixed. Right now I've uploaded one Song Parody. We're working on two more MSTs, and a new blurb called "Top 20 Lord of the Rings Fan Fiction Clichˇs." It's funny, you'll laugh. Oh, and we're trying to scrounge up some Master and Commander pictures of Billy. If you could help, that'd be great. Oh, and if anyone has any submissions for the Caption Contest...

Cough, hack, death!
Finally updated the fic-o-the-month MST -- it started out as 8 pages, and is now 29. Yes, we know that's sad. Also, we've put up 6 more RPB comics, even though there are still about 4 to go. (Too lazy to make page 9 yet!) Oh, and a new story comic thing, about Elrond's ffnet daughters. It's amusing. And lastly, new LoTR news. (Sketchy, as always!) Enjoy!

We have been working and updating, just haven't had the time to post an update.
Fixed a few typos and dead things. Speaking of which -- the only dead on
the site link is the MST of the month, cos it isn't finished yet. Everything
else -- if it comes up dead, just reload.
Besides that, we've uploaded 16 rpbcoms, and have an 8th
page. The big upload has been 30 photcoms on
8th and 9th
pages.
We've gotten more hits this month than ever before. People are visiting this
site. But we don't know what you think. We need some feedback! So please,

store, which should be fully working by the end of
the month.
Now for the big news. Today, September 3rd, marks our 6th month anniversary.
Which means we've been around a long time. Long enough, we thought, that
we should do something special for the site. So we bought a dot com.
That's right, you can now reach this site at
www.nancingpony.com. Isn't
that nice?
Also, we have a new assistant of sorts -- YMG's brother. You'll see him popping
up every once and a while.
